Great Leaders Focus on Both Leading People and Leading For Results
Great leaders drive results by focusing on four skills and behaviors:
- Communicating as a leader.
- Ensuring individual and team accountability.
- Developing clear and concise strategy statements.
- Leveraging cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration.
This is addition to placing high leadership focus on leading employee engagement, as discussed in the last post.
One of my core leadership beliefs is that leaders can be found at all levels of an organization. Leadership is not something confined to the upper ranks or management or the top tiers of an organization chart. I also believe that great leaders are strong in both leading people and leading for results, while good leaders typically lead only one or the other.
